How to identify if your console is a NEW or OLD 3DS:

your games insert into the back of the console and the stylus slots
into the side you have an OLD 3DS model originally released between
2011/2012.
If your games and stylus pen load into the front of the console then you have a NEW 3DS originally released in 2015.
