Description:
Resolve controller problems on a PS1 console by replacing the fuse on the motherboard.
The Fuse will be in the position marked PS605 and normally have a 15 printed on the top, it is secured by two solder pads and relatively easy to remove and replace, soldering required.
The fuse labelled F1 on the controller port PCB board commonly goes wrong from using third party / damaged controllers, or from inserting and removing controllers with the console powered on.
In most cases replacing the fuse is enough to fix the controllers and get them working on the console, you can test the original fuse with a simple continuity test (beep test) using a multi-meter.
Requires internal soldering, console must be opened to install, soldering iron and solder required (not included)
A Philips #1 screwdriver will be needed to open up the console shell (not included)
