Description:

If your power socket has a damaged center pin or appears to be faulty then this compatible replacement may fix the power issues.

The power socket has 3 pins which needs to be soldered, you will also need to dissasemble and desolder the original.

This port can be used on an Atari Lynx 1, it can also be used in an Atari Lynx 2 but it is slightly different, we offer an alternative socket for Lynx 2 in our store that has a very slightly extended barrel (plastic part).

It is recommended that you use some hot glue to hold the socket in place and provide it with strain support, the replacement only has three solder pins at the back and no other anchor legs that can be soldered to hold it in position, hence the hot glue.

The socket accepts a 3.5mm connector like the original so once installed you can continue to use the lynx normally as before.
